You may have visited Eagle Heights Church before or you may be thinking about visiting for the first time but either way, we’re glad to have you join us. Our Senior Pastor Ken Benson has a special welcome for you. We’ve taken the time to outline some of the things you will do when you visit, so you know what to expect.
Before the Service
Service time:
Eagle Heights Church currently offers one service each weekend on Sunday morning. Pre-service prayer starts at 9:30 AM in the church prayer room. The church service starts at 10:00 AM and begins with contemporary band led worship. The Wednesday night service starts at 7:00 PM. We offer Bible and Christian Education classes for all ages.
Find the church:
Eagle Heights Church is located at the intersection of County Road 42 and Lac Lavon Drive in Burnsville. From the County Road 42 exit on Hwy. 35W, go East for approximately 1 mile and the church is located on the right hand side (near Walgreens and Super America).
Get settled:
Inside the church you will be warmly welcomed by one of our greeters and you will be given a bulletin and a visitor packet. In the sanctuary you may sit in any of the sections you wish or one of our ushers can direct you to a seat that is reserved for our guests or families with small children.
During the Service
Worship:
We treat our entire service as a worship experience but we do like to start our service with music. Our worship team will lead us in mix of traditional hymns and choruses, contemporary songs of celebration, as well as more intimate songs of worship.
Offering:
Each week the regular attenders of Eagle Heights Church make an offering. As a guest, there is no need for you to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives. It also gives Eagle Heights Church the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.
Message:
Each week, our pastor gives a challenging, straightforward message that is based on Scripture, and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. Many past messages are available on CD and can be purchased from our media department. For those who are more technically inclined we also make our messages available through Podcast where they can be listened to or downloaded. These messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, and apply biblical teaching to your own life.
Communion:
Several times a year we celebrate communion together. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer – as long they’ve made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The juice and bread that we share represent the life he gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
Christian Education and Child Care:
After the music portion of our worship service, the kids through 5th grade are invited to participate in Christian education classes that are tailored specifically to their age group. Children are divided into classrooms with age-appropriate teachings and activities, discussing topics that will help them build a solid foundation and strong relationship with God.
After the Service - Pick up your kids:
If your child attends a Sunday School class and is in preschool class, the teachers will keep them in the classrooms until you pick them up. Older children are dismissed to join their parents after service.
Get to know some new people:
One thing that is evident when you attend a service at Eagle Heights Church is that our people love to talk and fellowship. Please take the time to meet our pastor and chat with some people.
